Has anyone seen this yet? This is the first that I've heard about it. Not real hot on the blade with the Camp Perry branding, but the scales with blue stand-offs sounds really appealing to me. I'm thinking that a Ritter blade swap would make for an amazing knife! Of course, that would also be a stiff investment in order to make that happen.

That is looking so sweet...

Except for that big 'ol logo in the middle of the blade.

How hard is it to swap the blades? I think it would look awesome with my 550BK blade... $73 and free shipping might be worth the risk haha

Is easy to swap blades. Remove the pivot screw, then the pivot pin. The blade, and the two washers will slip out. Reverse the process to put the blade back in.

Oh ok, wasn't sure if there would be any issues with blade play when swapping from another knife. They are backordered, mine has an estimate arrival of 6/3/13. I'll post pics once I get everything swapped out. I did e-mail benchmade to see if they could just swap the blades at the factory. I sent in my 2750 and 551 for some warranty work and they are there now. Not sure how big the factory is, but it would be sweet if they could take care of it while they are there.

What's wrong with D2?

Will these be sold through any online dealers?

I like the circle opening on the 550 blades and thought the black coated would look sweet with the g10. That and the ugly logo taking up the whole blade... I'm going to duracoat the blade that comes on it

BM website says that this has Axis-Assist!? I also want to know if this will be available for cheaper than MSRP.

Hmmm, interesting. I did not even notice that it stated that it was axis assist, I guess that was an oversight on my part. I've never had an axis assist knife, so I'm wondering if there are any cutouts on the blade for the assist mechanism? Furthermore, I wonder if it would hinder replacing the blade with a Ritter style?

Secondly, I would love to find this at one of the online retailers for a price less than MSRP just like all of the other BM's.

Both very good questions. I hope someone can chime in with some more info.

It's extremely hard and can be a pistol to sharpen. If you take it down to a very fine edge it's a little more prone to chipping than other steel.I think that knife is (too cool for school) but I'd rather it had a different steel in the blade.Just my opinion and others may vary.:)

I wonder if these will be available for purchase at Camp Perry this summer. I am planning on shooting there but don't want to buy the knife unless I actually go.

I purchased one of these off their website the other day...expected ship date of 6/3. I don't mind D2, I actually like it a lot. Not a fan of the logo on the blade though...I'll probably do a blade swap on it.

CWIN, please post pics once you get the knife. I am very curious to see the barrel spacers that come with the knife. I'm interested in seeing if they are a straight radius barrel type of spacer or if they are machined similar to the standoffs that Kershaw uses in the Blur or 0560, or the Hinderer style. Personally I hope that they are of the Kershaw/Hinderer type.
