Benchmade 581 Pimp Job

Looking for someone who can make me some thin carbon fiber handles for the Benchmade 581? I really love the bladeshape, steel and street price but don't like the heavy and ugly handles somehow, also I think they are way to thick and thats why the blade/handle thickness ratio looks kinda weird. I even had that knife once but I sold it for this reasons and because it was an assisted, back then I didn't know that this knife is de-assistable. I'm going to order a new one tomorrow and will most likely get it in the next 2 weeks or so.

I already asked a few people but either their books are closed or they didn't answer yet :(. Please knife pimpers feel free to PN or Mail me anytime. To the guys who know somebody who could do that for me please ask or tell me how to contact him/her.

The assist spring is in the scales (bolster) so unless you take out the assist you might need more thickness than you want.

That won't be a problem since I don't dig assisted knives anymore ;)
 
Even after you remove the spring, you are still left with the spring cage.
This sits on the outside surface of one of the liners with the pivot going straight through it.
If you take the spring cage out, there is no hole for the pivot.
Now, even if you could some how ingeniously figure out a way of removing the cage, the pivot is too long.

Hm ok then I'll just replace it with carbon fiber scales in the same thickness I guess.. Could you do that for me please?? (I really love your scales btw :thumbup:)
 
Keyman the Grandmaster-Pimper of BM Scales even wrote me back in my thread and now he isn't writing back again... Since I've seen lots of his work with BM Scales I really would love to get my Carbon Fiber Scales for the BM 581 by the man himself x.( . But there gota be some other talented Knife Pimps out there and I even already wrote 6-7 in the last few weeks and got no proper or satisfying answer yet... Am I really that annoying :( ??
