Benchmade 615S Mini-Rukus?

So what's yalls thoughts on this knife? I've always been a Spyderco kinda guy but I've been offered a NIB Mini-Rukus Blackwood & a NIN Mini- Griptilloin for my
Orange Spyderco Manix. Im really unsure what to do. It seems like I'm getting tge better end of the deal here but what do yall think.
 
Love the Mini Rukus but the pocket clip is a deal breaker. Pretty much no tension and it's also really flimsy and weak. Maybe STR can make a stronger clip for it
 
I don't own a Mini-Rukus, but from what I understand, it's a very sought after model. As mongomondo said, I have heard that the clip just plain sucks. Their resale value is pretty darn high if you were thinking about flipping it...

I, personally, would go for it, but then again, I'm not a spyderco guy.
 
Clip does suck for the very reasons stated. But I think BM is making the same clip but it doesn't have the long cutout in the middle, at least I saw what looked like it on a BM. That should make it a bit stronger. I also found out that if I bent the clip down it would hold better. I don't think you can go wrong with that trade as long as they are truly NIB knives.


I just went to Benchmade.com and the clip I mentioned is on the 470 Emissary. It may also be on some more models. I would email BM and request a clip for the 470 Emissary.

The Mini-Rukus is a great knife. Better than the Orange Manix 2, IMHO. I think the value is higher on the Rukus, too, but you'll want to do your own research. You can always get another Manix 2, if you want, but probably not in orange. The Mini Rukus is hard to find these days.
 
They are truly NIB. The only thing the Rukus has cut is my arm hair lol. I was when checking it out. If I was to flip the Rukus? I been looking but theres not a ton of them around, & ebay has them priced all over the map.
 
So after a hour or so chillin on the couch with the Rukus, I must say I do really like it. The Mini Grip 556 I got is OD Green with a Black blade & I like it to. It may just be my new piece of my EDC Rotation.
