Looking good. :D

Oh they do. My friends swear they don't know me anymore!

Then that means you are getting there.

You can get the edges so sharp on an Edge Pro that you can make Air Bleed.

There is no limit to how sharp they can get IMO.

Edge Pro Apex. :)

oh nice. which stones did you use (and angles)? i'm considering getting one but not sure all the extras on the 3 or 4 kit are necessary, since i also own a sharpmaker.

Get the Apex 4 kit as you will end up getting it all anyway, trust me.

If you do end up getting it, buy the Glass Tape Blank, it's worth every penny.

Sharpmaker?

They are Ok for touchups, but if you get an Edge Pro and learn how to use it etc the edges you get will make the ones off a Sharpmaker seem like a butter knife by comparison.

I bow to you.

The Glass Blank is a MUST. The blanks that come with your kit will not be half as sufficient

Yes, it is if you want the ultimate in sharpness that's for sure. They are perfectly flat and with the 2000 and 6000 grit tapes, well. :D

But the work has to be done right with the stones 1st paying attention to the 600 and 1000 grit especially. Use a lot of water with the 1000 grit stone and you can polish the edge so you can see your reflection in it before going to the tapes.

On the Edge Pro, I've got the Apex 4...d'you use any of the thinner 1/2" stones on the recurve, or the full-size only? And IF full-size, any tricks on how to hit the curve?

And on the M390 version...that swedge is not only smaller, but the recurve looks shallower also, unless it's my eyes playing tricks!

Thanks...
Joe

I used the standard stones. :)

I reprofiled the edge, once you do that it's not a problem.

The recurve was pretty shallow though. :)
