Edit: Trade request retracted. I found a GB1 for sale and will be putting this up for sale later today.

I bought a brand new Benchmade 710 in November (found probably the last dealer in New England who had one), but I just don't ever use it. I had a 710-1401 from Knifeworks but I sold it for the same reason I want to get rid of this one: I just don't like sharpening the recurve. Unlike my 1401, this knife has never been sharpened and still has the factory edge. I've used it to open some packages and cut some wrapping paper. It has a couple small superficial scratches that you can't see unless you're reflecting some light. It also has a light factory grind line down the middle of the show side of the blade. Like the scratches, you can really only see this if you're reflecting light at just the right angle (managed to snap a picture of it). Centering is absolutely flawless and the blade drops closed. It has by far the smoothest action of any Benchmade I've ever used. I really hate to get rid of it, as its a part of Benchmade history (being the first knife with the Axis Lock), but I just have no legitimate reason for a knife I don't use.

I'd like to trade it for a Gayle Bradley 1. I think a straight trade for a GB1 in slightly used condition would be a fair one. I had discontinued-brand-new-knife-fever and bought the 710 for $180 (ouch), but I see them going used for $130-160. If I can't find a trade I'll probably sell it in a couple weeks.

Come with box, papers, and micro cloth.
