Benchmade 710 - ordered D2, got 154CM. Return?

Don't even bother. 710 would be a great knife even if the blade was made out of wood. Besides D2 sometimes rusts.

Thanks for the heads up. I went to Knifeworks intending to snag one 710 154CM but my addiction got the best of me so I bought two 710's in 154CM and one 710 in D2.
I'll EDC the D2 (because they are current production) first and keep the 154CM's for down the road
Roger actually has a product link just for the 710 154CM now and is charging the same price as the D2 model so you can be sure to add the right specific knife to your cart and not worry about mixing them up.

Was doing some yard work and left it outside...for a while. No longer my EDC.
if you like that knife, maybe you should take a look at this link, where they replaced the scales and blade, so I figure you could get carbon fiber scales and a new blade in material of your choice.

Send it back. I have had good results with 154cm and unreal results with D2. D2 is a cutting machine. Don't worry about sharpening it either, all you have to do is strop it once a week and it will pop hairs again. Plus the box said 710d2 and you didn't get it. they need to know they made a mistake. As with the rusting of it just keep it oiled and don't leave it laying in your yard for a week.

If you could I'd ask Rodger (just talk to him) for a deal for both, he's good about that and a really good guy, wouldn't hurt and you'd get 2 great blades with 2 nice steels for a deal, try!
He did something similar for me
A while ago,I was wondering why Roger was giving away Benchmade Field Sharpeners (MSRP $24.95)with every 710 sold.This maybe why.

I don't think they are trying to hoodwink anyone. I've seen them have several specials. Just a week ago they were including a free kydex neck sheath with the Kershaw Leek.
