benchmade 710d2 worth the money

I just picked one up about 1 week ago, and it has impressed the hell out of me. The fit and finish are incredible, the blade is scary sharp and has performed very well in every task i've used it for. I'd have payed way more for it and still have been happy.

Just got the 710 D2...pretty nice for the price. First blade with D2 so I have yet to experience its performance and the sharpening.

The blade was off center but fixed that in about an hour.

100 bucks is stupid good for a 710. I would easily pay 150 for it since I havent found anything under 200 that is better imho. I dont think its the best design ever, but its far closer to that than being a bad design.

Good collection I have 2 out of 3 but washed ritters rather than black,The minigrip is just magic

How thick is the 710 compared to the full size griptillian? i.e side of 1 scale to side of the other

I love the full sized grip - buth the handle is too thick, (and the end of one of the little moulded ridges on the heel that diggs into my hand)

Knifeworks still has some 154CM 710s along with the D2's. I just bought two 154CM 710's to stash since they aren't made anymore and a D2 710 from them today. I'll carry the D2 until it's toast (never?) then work on one of the two 154CM's when I'm almost dead :D Good price too!

I believe it's thinner.

Yes, the 710 is thinner.

The 710 is a true classic, in any steel you can find it in. Personally, I like the 154CM, though I have a D2 model that I've used heavily without complaint.

The 710 is one of those knives that is just right, in every sense.
