Benchmade 790 subrosa

I've read a couple posts stating that all you need to do to remove the AO is take the roller that contacts the tang off of the two torsion bars... Since AO doesn't bother me, I haven't tried but examining the knife, I think it would be about a 3 minute operation... Doesn't do much to fix the recurve though ;)
Haha, yeah, the recruve was the real deal-killer for me. If the Subrosa had the AO but no recruve, I'd almost certainly still have it.

Funny thing is, I have an Edge Pro with a full set of half-inch stones, so for me sharpening a blade with a recurve isn't much more difficult or time-consuming than one without a recurve. But I just don't enjoy sharpening recurves the way I do non-recruves, and (more to the point) I also don't like cutting with them.

(Not wanting to derail the thread with a recurve debate -- just mentioning all of this as a way of elaborating on why I didn't keep my Subrosa.)
