E Electricut : Good question... The washers were factory installed and it's pretty slick. As you flip the knife and they burnish in it's going to wear in well. No side to side play is noticed and they installed a new belt clip as well. This is not a factory nib knife but has been taken care of would be an awesome user. Thanks for the question.
