It's refreshingly non-tactical, definitely a knife that you can whip out in the presence of sheeple

The pre-production models are shipping right now to authorized dealers, and they'll be in the general distribution pipeline to follow in the weeks to come. Very nice piece.

Thanks for the pics Dexter. I've been looking all over for info on this knife. I'm definitely getting one!!!

Amazing Dexter, nice scans as well!

Do you have the knife perpendicular to the scanners light travel and then turn the scan 90 degrees?

Thanks for sharing!

EXCELLENT! I notice the blade is 154CM. Glad to see that, as I assume that means that BM has pretty much run out of ATS-34. I really like how the 154CM works (sharpens and holds edge) on my 730.

Thanks for the scans, Dex. nice work.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Every time I follow your links, I get a message telling me that photo is not in the album. What gives?

Oops, I moved it to another folder in my Photopoint account and forgot to correct the above URLs accordingly (DOH!) They are working again now. Thanks for the heads up

Would it be possible to get a scan with a ruler or other knife so we can do a size comparison?

As great as the 940 looks, it is a little small for my tastes. Maybe a good dress up folder, but I would like to see one about the size of the 710.

I just saw one of these 940's at the Nordic Knife shop today (in Solvang, CA). Pre-prod piece (564/1000).

A very nice knife! And very lightweight compared to the Ares (or whatever they called that maroon handled one). None of the scans seem to show the filework on the purple (steel?) spacer. A nice contrast to the green aluminum scales.

Don't know what the straight clipping on the top is supposed to add to the blade, tho it does make a sharp point.

there's one for auction on eBay starting at $120.

And it's a sign that this dealer guy likes a new knife when he buys it retail 'cause the distributors don't have it yet and he doesn't want to wait!!!

Thanks for the scans James,

This knifes' pictures get me charged up.

The machined handle seems to look really nice, I just hope it is comfortable in the hand.
