Benchmade 940 osborne

It should not wiggle at all, mine doesn't and it flips open with ease. If you have to tightenen it that much just to stop the blade play then there is something wrong.

I got a benchmade 940 brand new on trade. And I sent it in to benchmade still came back pretty much the same. I used loctite and let it sit over night in the pivot. That worked best. But I eventually traded it away for a benchmade volli. Cool knife at first. Lots of blade play. Just sold that one. But I do have a mini grip that's very good! But that's been my experience. I'd get rid of it! You'll never be happy with it

Ancient thread. Wo knows what the outcome was.

I know this is a buried topic but I just got a 740 and was wondering what is an acceptable amount of "wiggle". I would like for the blade to be as loose and free floating as possible but it will mean my blade will wiggle like its Saturday night at the local boogy bar. On the other-hand if I tighten it up to get rid of the wiggle it will then be so tight I need to use both hands to open it...

Mainly I'm wondering what the normal amount of acceptable of movement from wiggle and from action of the blade.
It would be a better idea for you to start your own thread, within the Benchmade subforum, rahter than getting a piggy back on a different and long buried topic. Go on now, run along. ;)
