Hi, requesting a review of the 940 please.

I have a few questions:

- How purple are the liners? Can you take a picture of them?

- When people say it has a blade length of 3.4", does that mean 3.4" of cutting edge or until the blade reaches the handle?

- Are liners completely purple or only the back part on top between the two slabs of aluminum?

- How is the grip on this thing?

- Is the blade centered when closed?

Thanks for your help :)

Dejango606, I'll try to answer your questions.
1- The liners are just plain old stainless steel, the back-spacer is purple and really not that "purple" if you know what I'm saying. You only see the outer part of it and it's not that bad. It's strange that BM would choose purple for a color on an tactical knife but so be it.
2-My blade's cutting surface measures 3.25 in. and is dead centered. I have also had good luck with BM's 154 CM. This BM was very sharp NIB, but some have not been as good.
3- The grip on this knife is very good IMO. I wear large sized gloves and this knife fits well. The coating on the handle smoothed after some handling but the grip is good. I also like tip-up so I like this knife.
4- I really like the reverse modified tanto blade.
5- would say about this knife,

Hope this helps, Walter

That little ridged strip along the spine is Titanium. I had a Blue KOTM from a few years back, and my spine was green tinted. I haven't seen the purple colored spacer. I'm pretty sure it is quite subdued, and not "gay" looking, if that's a concern. I don't remember if the coloring goes all the way aroundthe piece, but it would't be too visible on the inside. This little knife (well, not really little, but compared to my normal carry) is a great gent's knife. All the Axis locks I've seen are centered, and perfectly put together. The handle shape is grippy enough, without being rough in any way. Some people prefer to have a tip-down carry option, but not me. The clip is reversible for right/left carry, though. I believe the 940 is one of the more refined looking Axis locks out there, although there is nothing wrong with a "tactical" look.
