I am interested in getting these special Edition 94x's and wanted to know what you guys have paid for yours before i pull the trigger. I havent seen many of the silver handled 940's and thought they looked pretty cool, I totally love the looks of the black/red 941!!!
I also like the BC blue handled 941, do they run about the same $ as the reds?
Any info is appreciated
Thanks!

Impossible? Keep an eye on Ebay. I've seen at least a 1/2 dozen of them over the last few months. There was just a Prototype of one sold a day ago. Difficult to find, yes. Impossible? No.

Thanks, BTW, are all the Red handled, Boron Carbide black bladed 941's numbered limited edition pieces? I have heard conflicting info on this.

The silver 940 is nice. Last time I visited Patsy at Beck's Cutlery( www.beckscutlery.com ) she let me play with the one she had. Very nice. She still might have it, or some of the other 94x's that are hard to find. Drop her an email, tell her I said "Hi". :)

Blades

Bought one Red 941BC1 from a local B&M store for $160. Bought another Red 941BC1 on ebay for $120.00 or$130, I can't remember for sure. Paid $160.00 for my 941D2CF at a show.

I carried the first 941BC1 for a week or two and fell in love with the design. But I worried about putting wear on a numbered "collectable". So I bought the second one which is now my first official Safe Queen. While waiting for the second one to come in the mail, I found the Carbon Fiber one. I love Carbon Fiber! So I bought one of those and it has become one of my top 2 EDCs. I don't worry about putting wear on it as it's no longer numbered 1 of 500. Benchmade was kind enough to replace the blade for me and the replacement has no number, but at least it is the mirror polished D2 (hint here, electricity and knives don't mix well).

Somewhere in the confusion, I also ended up with a 943. Feeling guilty about having 4 of the same knife, I offed the first Red 941 and the 943 and applied the funds to an Elishewitz frame locker with Carbon Fiber set in Titanium!
