Hey I'm looking for a ti scale for my 940. Does anybody know who makes them? I've heard them referenced but I can't seem to find anyone on here that makes them. Thanks a lot.

Benchmade has made Titanium handled 940/941/943 models. They differ from the Aluminum and old Carbon fiber handles in that they use stand offs instead of back spacers. The newer 940-1 (C/F) also uses stand offs. The Titanium models are heavier than the Al and C/F versions. The lightest is C/F at 71gm. Al is next at 81 gm. Ti comes in at 91 gm.

yeah I know bm has made them. There just hard to come by and I don't want to pay the ridiculous pricing when they do. I was hoping to find someone who makes ti scales to put on one.

I'm really just not a fan of the green. I like the black 943 handle much better. I read another post of yours where you said benchmade would put a different blade in your knife for $60. Could I buy a 943 and send it to them to put a 940 blade in? I heard bm wouldn't do this. Just wondering if you have any experience with this? That's definitely what I would do if they will do that.
