benchmade 940 vs spyderco paramilitary

940 is a winner in my book! Light, super fast, durable. It will take on pretty much any cutting job you can throw at it and keep asking for more.

2 very different knives. The 940 will be more comfortable to carry, but the PM will be more comfortable to hold and use. Both are great slicers.

I've never even held the PM2, but I do really like my 943 (and my 940). I think it's a terrific design for an EDC knife. I like how slim it is, how it's easy to work on, and once I put a nice bevel on it, it's super simple to keep sharp. If I owned (or could at least hold) a PM2, my opinion might change, but until that happens, I vote for the 943.

I have the blacked out para 2 and a d2 940 and I almost always go for the para 2. The 940 is really fun to flick open and closed (which I try not to do to my knives but still...)while im watching tv or something and it was a gift from my girlfriend so it has sentimental value but I still find myself reaching for the para 2 when I go out. The 940 is a great knife and there is nothing wrong with it, but personally I like the para better....just my preference

There is an easy way out of this scenario, buy both, and send the one you don't like to me.

As others have leaded to, it just comes down to what you need the knife for. As a knife that'll see use for extended periods, the Para-2 is probably the better choice. It'll offer a more secure, hand filling grip. If the knife will be for basic EDC, the 940 will carry better in the pocket. I expect the 940 should be able to take slightly more tip stress.

I own a paramilitary 2, hopefully a 940 soon. I have been eyeing the 940 for a long time.. I'd love to own great pieces of knives from each other companies, so far im a spydieholic lol.
P.S. You can never go wrong owning both knives! :)
