Benchmade 941 love the knife but grip has become slippery over the years - advice?

Yikes, it did hurt to ask! I just bought a NIB 940 for $100 at gun show. $90 for a new set of scales is their way of telling you they don't want to be bothered. I would shop for a beater and swap the parts. They charge $60 for a new blade. If you look for an anodizer, try to find one that does hard (mil spec) anodizing. This process is used on cookware and is quite wear resistant. Good luck.

Last i heard they charged $25 to replace a damaged satin blade, $35 for a coated one. Is this not true anymore? I could have sworn i read it on the benchmade website or in the literature they sent me just a month ago but i can't find the info anywhere . .

My blade purchase was not an exchange. I sent them a handle, and they put a blade in it for $60.

You could pick up a Talon Gun Grip from www.talongungrips.com. They have a rubberized grip version that you could cut to size. It comes off without leaving any nasty residue behind and lasts a LONG time. I have them on all of my Glocks and love them!

Cheap option: Textured or flat spray paint for hardware store $8
Best option: Bead blast and CeraKote by a pro $40 (guessing)
