Benchmade 960 Red Osborne OR Ritter-Grip Mini

Well, from the short time I've owned them... the 960 is thinner, lighter and much prettier. The 960 blade is narrower and longer. The AXIS action is smoother on the 960 also. However, it will probably be the Ritter that I end up carrying. The red aluminum handles of the 960 will be prone to scratching since I carry my knife in the samr pocket as my keys. Also, the D2 will be a little harder to sharpen as needed for an EDC. So while the 960 is hand-down the superior knife, the Ritter is more of a users-dream-come-true. I don't have to worry about the plastic-like handles getting scratched. The same goes for the stonewash blade. It also shows fingerprints far less than the 960. So, while I'll treasure the 960 more, the Ritter will get all the pocket time.

Okay. Time for pics. Let me know if you can see them.

Excellent Comparison photos.

Does the thin blade of the 960 feel fragile at all?

Say a twist mid-motion while cutting cardboard...

Not at all. It feels rock solid. The only problem is there is a pretty big gap between where your index finger sits on the handle and the start of the blade. So, while the blade itself is quite rigid, it is a little harder to control than the Ritter.
