Today I needed my main drain line at the house "snaked" out so I called the drain guy. While he was in the process of running the cable through the drain line, he somehow got the cable tangled with a piece of yellow nylon rope laying nearby. In an instant the rope was pulled tight against the cable, trapping his wrist and hand. Although he removed his foot from the foot switch, the momentum of the spinning continued after it was switched off. Luckily I was able to pull out my Adamas and cut the rope, relieving the tension. Certainly not a life and death situation, but just another reason to carry a knife.

You should change the title of this thread to M.Freeze. You are the hero here and I'm sure you would have done whatever you could no matter what was in you pocket. Though I'm certain the drainguy is sure glad you don't EDC a pack of gum and $ .83 in random coins.

Cool story. Cool knife. Honestly though, the coolest thing, for me, is seeing the Mo. Con. magazine. I haven't seen one in a couple of decades.

The Missouri Conservationist magazine is a free publication that gets delivered monthly. I enjoy reading them and my kids like the pictures.

Yeah, I remember. I wish Arkansas had something similar, but I don't think that they have a Conservation Dept. like Missouri's.

I love hearing stories about how any knife saved the day. Does not have to be life or death, but just a good story/reason why everyone should carry a good sharp knife everyday. The fact it was an Adamas just makes the story better. Thanks for sharing!
