Benchmade Anthem: Rough Knurling on Pivot

I'm not sure if my girlyman thumb should feel vindicated or insulted, at this point. Oh, well; you're all just pixel people, anyway. :-)

Well my pivot buttons were able to scrape of material from my nail with ligth pressure. So was some of my spyderco's spydie holes. So I sanded and buffed them lightly to get rid of the sharp edges.

I prefer using some sandpaper, to having sandpaper texture on the skin of my fingers, but hey that's just girly me! :D

I just realized something: pilsner criticized my hand as being too girly, since the Anthem lock stud shouldn't bother one's thumb, but he's never handled the knife.

I see.

Is it safe to say that you don't own a Sebenza or a Gayle Bradley? I developed a real nice callus on my thumb from the thumb stud on a Sebenza and releasing the linear lock on a Gayle Bradley repeatedly. You could try one of these out, then go back to the Anthem and you'll probably completely forget that you ever felt unfortunate with the axis lock

You're right about my not owning those, Cashville. Your advice reminds me of a parable, though. A lady goes to the village elder and complains that she's terribly hot. The elder tells her to put on her fur coat. She can't understand why he would tell her to do such a thing, but he insists, and out of respect, she does it. She wears it for a few hours, and then she goes back to him and tells him that she just can't take it anymore. He tells her to take off the coat. Then he asks her how she feels, and she says that she feels much better. :)

haha exactly! seriously though, I remember the first two days of owning a Sebenza my thumb was literally bruised and had an indention like you get when you write with a pen or pencil for hours at a time. I have not found anything that bothers my thumb after owning the two knives that I mentioned
