Does anybody have the apparition with the g-10 handle? Interested in the knife but all I have heard is how uncomfortable the original grips were (molded plastic I think) I see it is now offered with G-10 for around $90. Would appreciate any input from some of you who have expereince with this knife. Thanks again

I've played with one in real life. It felt reasonably comfortable to me, but nothing special in the ergonomics area. I really like the design of the knife, but the liner was alarmingly thin...like the width of a hair thin...

Otherwise you've got G10, D2 and a removeable AO mechanism, all of which I like (too bad not all AOs were easily modified)

I have one, my g/f has the original. I like the weight of the original...just a preference but the G-10 is nice. The D2 I like and I think for some reason its not as toothy as other companies D2 but thats just my perception. Overall I like the knife, its not my edc but I keep it in rotation. Oh by the way, blade centered, even grinds no blade play:thumbup:

I really liked the original, but AO fell out of favor with me. The loose feel of the blade after the Optimiser bar was removed didn't appeal to me either. A friend of mine just bought one of the new ones, I will get to see it this Friday.

I have never taken the bar out, I will give that a try and see how it acts afterwards.

The G10 is grippy, D2 is nice, handle has good ergos, blade grind it pleasing, and it is faster opening than the original...very impressive blade.
