LNIB Benchmade 9170-ORG Auto Triage - AXIS AUTOMATIC w/Auto Opening Safety Cutter - BLK Aluminum Handle w/Orange G-10 Inlay - Plain Edge Satin
I carried this knife around the house for about a week. I used the blade once or twice to open some envelopes. It still has the factory edge, and it's razor sharp. See the phone book paper in the first image. I used the safety cutter to shred an old pair of sleeping pants, just to check it out, and I opened a couple of packs of fruit snacks. Lol. The centering is good, the grinds are fairly even, but a little off near the tip, and overall the knife is in excellent condition. The only issue is there is some slight vertical play. When I say slight, I mean, you move the blade once, and then it locks into place. Most people probably wouldn't notice it, but for some reason, when the knife goes from completely closed to completely open, the axis lock isn't fully in contact with the flat of the blade. It could just need broken in. This is my first auto from Benchmade, so I'm unsure if this is normal or not. It was so minimal that I didn't even notice it until I started posting this listing, as I always check for side-to-side, and vertical play before I sell anything on here.
