There is a very interesting review of the Benchmade Axis at <a href="http://www.equipped.com/axis.htm">Equipped to Survive</a>. The best part are the cut away diagrams showing how the lock actually works, I hadn't seen them anywhere before.

Clay - thanks for posting the link to that review. Very nicely written, and I love those cut-away drawings of the Axis mechanism. Jeez, I need to work for these guys - they seem to get their hands on the newest stuff first before anyone else

Hi Sid - the 710's have hit the market, but only at storefront dealers only. Mail order guys will get theirs sometime after the new year at last I heard.
