Can you explain & verify the handles please, since they are not stock as far as i know. i know some stuff, but still learning:)

Yes, the T-latch 42 is older, but the handles were always stainless steel in the older 42's. I have never seen those handles before, maybe you should check with the person you got it from for your benefit/reference. he might give you 411 to make it easier to sell. thx.

so i understand the finish, i just have never heard of that before as a production balisong. Still i am far from the 42 expert. i thought someone modded the knife.

Those handles are direct from the factory, with an anodized finish (this knife is 10+ years old).

42's were never made with stainless steel handles, with the exception of a much more recent limited edition (100 pieces, I believe) which were all spring latches. All production 42's had titanium handles, hence the ano (stainless steel cannot be anodized).
