Benchmade Barrage 580 or Zero Tolerance 0550?

I am a righty and I can open and close the para2 perfectly with my left hand. That's saying something, my left hand isn't good for much.

The Manix 2 is a BEAST of a knife. It's awesome and I love the locking mechanism.

The BM 581 is sweet and I've been after one since I really really got into knives. It seems to be less readily available than the ZT 0550, so out of the two I would get the BM first.

The ZT 0550 is a beast of a knife as well, but the other knives are great and I really can't say that the 0550 is a hell of a lot better. So I mean if you're looking to be way overly impressed with the ZT 0550 over the BM, Spydercos, and such, I wouldn't get it. Because you'll get the ZT 0550 and later on down the road you will get the other knives and realize that you weren't really missing much.

Also have you looked at these models? If you're looking to be impressed and super enthralled about your knife purchase you may want to look at these as they are very well made and I would take them over the 0550:

ZT 030X - It's a hell of a heavy duty knife and slices like a champ too.
Benchmade 760 LFTi - it has a somewhat tanto blade but is a hell of a knife it's ti and has M4 steel.
Benchmade 790 Subrosa - s30v steel, ti handles, frame lock, and is assisted.
Spyderco Sage 2 - it's been called the poor mans small sebenza, and I actually love the way it handles over the sebenza.
Spyderco Chokwe - Hell of a slicer, s30v, titanium, g-10, also does heavy jobs, it looks weird but the ergos are second to none.
