I took another knife in to Benchmade the other day for some warranty work and took along this balisong I've had in my drawer for 10+ years. They told me it is a model 42 with a t-latch (the model number is not etched on the knife) and was last made in 2001.

This knife has never been dropped on anything other than carpet. The knife has been flipped a minimal amount and shows gentle wear. The knife comes with the pouch, but no box. I've never sharpened it and it appears to have the factory edge.

I've attached some photos showing minor scratches, scuffs and the things Benchmade mentioned they looked at to identify and confirm it's authenticity. Unfortunately the scratches on the end of the knife and t-latch are more noticeable in real life that I could capture with my camera. The rest of the scratches and scuffs have to be seen under bright sunlight at the right angle to be noticeable. Please see the message/reply below for another photo of this knife.

I'm selling this knife for $550. Price includes USPS Priority shipping, insurance and PayPal fees. No trades at the moment. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see additional photos. My e-address is: tim at stilyagi dot com.

By purchasing this knife you certify that you are of legal age and possession is legal in your city and state. Thanks for looking.

Seller please update your usergroup to show you have a paid membership. To do this Click on Settings (top right) -> Permissions Groups and update.

Price drop to $400. Price still includes USPS Priority shipping, insurance and PayPal fees. If it doesn't sell at this price (which I have learned is a more realistic value) then I'll just put it back in the drawer for a while.
