Benchmade CQC7 Emerson

I have a satin finish commander, it loves to show fingerprints. My bead blast super 7 stains but doesn't seem affected by my finger oil. I agree about the thumb disc, black cross hatch.

BTW: microfiber cloths clean better than any natural fiber cloth. Sucks those oily fingerprints right off the blade.

I started a thread on this.My blade has a brownish color to it now.Microfiber removes this? It is a Benchmade Specwar CQC7. Seeing as they stopped production on them, are the becoming more collectible?

Also, I just bought a mini-CQC7 (Got it Saturday). It appears to be an '06, but the "satin" finish definitely looks different than my '99. Is that normal or was there another finish other than the dark coated & satin finish?
I just got one the other day too and did some looking on the web. Some where (I forget where) I found that the satin blades are chrome plated and not bead blasted. After reading this, I makes a lot of sense when looking at the blade.

Someone may want to verify or clairify this,

yes the BM CQC7's are getting more expensive, and harder to find, unless ya are a collector the EKI '7 is better anyway even the unwaved ones, or an SOCFK.
