I just got a benchmade 275 upon recieving the knife the pocket clip had no tension and was about 1mm away from the handle , well i called benchmade and told them about the problem and they sent me out a new clip , well today i get my new clip and same issue , the clip has no tension and iis about 1 mm away from the handle so i call benchmade again, and this time they assure me that they will test the clip before shipping and send me 2 of them plus something else for my troubles, she also said they must of made a bad batch of clips for the 275. On the first clip i tried to adjust the tension myself and snapped the clip clean in half well on the one i just recieved i adjusted it and it's just fine now, but that was after i called benchmade and have 2 more plus "something extra" on the way to me, so the QC might not be the best but the customer service is awesome.

I'm happy with Benchmade customer service as well. I had a very minor issue with my 810 Contego - a slightly fractured glass breaker tip - and they paid for shipping in both directions and replaced the backspacer and glass breaker. Its been my only experience with Benchmade's customer service. The only better service could have been to produce a knife that did not require repair in the first place, but at least they took care of it without hassle and without making me pay shipping.

I agree, I've dealt with them twice now the first time i lost a d2 knife for about 6 months , when i found it it was in a basement in a pool of water and everything was rusted out on it blade liners screws etc, I call them and explained i love my knife and have had it for years , they tell me just to send it in with either 30- or 40 bucks for a new blade and they would take care of the rest, I recieved a brand spanking new knife in return, can't beat that IMO, I thought maybe they had just gutted my old knife and replaced all the parts so i gave them a call just because i was curious and they told me, that my knife was too damaged to repair and i guess it was cheaper for them just to go in the shop and send out a brand new one than to have someone try and restore my old one, either way i couldn't believe it when i opened that box i was happier than a pig in slop!

I had issues with my 51. I emailed them and the only reply I got was from the Face book page. I ended up returning the knife cause it was a lemon.
