Received a brand new 940-1 on Saturday, 4/26/2014. Unfortunately, the blade was way to one side, blade grind uneven and not sharp at all. That same day I shipped it Benchmade and they received it on Monday, 4/28/2014. On Tuesday, 4/29/2014 I contacted them on status and when I should expect it back. On 4/30/2014 I got a notification from the carrier that the knife is on its way back. Received it on 5/2/2014.

That was a very fast turnaround! Also, they pretty much fixed the centering, there's no blade play and sharpened the blade nicely. The grind is still a little uneven.

Overall, very satisfied with their CS, turnaround time and quality of repair.

PS: Of course, no excuse for letting a knife like that out of the factory. Certainly, their QC needs work.
 
Production knife companies make mistakes, you should be well aware of this by now. Not everyone bats 1,000 all day every day. Glad it got resolved.
 
You're lucky. I sent a 7505 in 4-9-14 for a lil spa treatment, basically an adjustment to the lock up. I still don't have it back. Extremely polite. I was told by an inside source (Benchmade employee/ BF member) that she was fixed on Friday of last week. Hopefully I get tracking info soon.
