Hi,
I ground down the slabs/liners on my AFCK because it was too pointy and was constantly digging at me and wearing holes in my pants. I used a bench grinder (carefully) and some sandpaper. I wouldn't call it "custom" in the nicest sense of the word though.

Frank Recupero does great work. I had a Emerson Commander done by him. Check the links page for his web page 'Awakenings in Cutlery' under custom makers.
