They do look different - shinier than the black oxide coating Benchmade uses on their clips. Are these DLC or something?

Yes - I’ve emailed BM a couple times and requested these. After the first time, they replied back wanting to know the knife model to be sure they sent what I needed. So if you email, include that info. Very nice customer service on their part.
