I received this one earlier in the week. Thnx to dweikum for this one too! :) This is another one I really like. It's quite a large knife. Very sweet actually. I know very little about it overall.

And once again for comparison, here it is shown next to a 710HS.

It was listed in the 1990 BM catalog, but I don't know how long they actually made it for.

It was supposedly designed by David Steele. Who also did the Mamba and Timbre by Pacific Cutlery.

Damn! I forgot about that one. Another knife I wish I had bought. OK...why can't knife companies do reissues of the old models??

i really love the blade shape and grind on that thing. The handle is decent too.

I had a chance to pick one of those up several years ago. I didn't because these forums had convinced me I can't own anything that's 420. What a load of crap. Wish I had got it. I did purchase a Smith & Wesson HRT Fighter. Full tang recurve - 440C - and built tough. At least I didn't let the anti S&W BS here dissuade me from getting that one.

Averageguy-Do I understand you to say that the Delta Raider was consrructed of 420? Thanks!

Microtech does it all the time :p

I know you're not being serious, but MT reissue everything
because they produce items which are not legally available to the vast majority of people, so need to recoup all their tooling costs.

BM as we all know, follow the law on autos about as closely as they can.....

Still wish they'd reissue the Auto Spike (a variation that cant be cloned so easily maybe) and the Auto Tanto though.

Oh well, that was a short lifetime. Wonder if BM would honor those Pacific Cutlery warranties?

Honor them in what way? They can't give out a new Delta Raider if the original one gets broken somehow. :)

So Benchmade:

How about a new Delta Raider with a 154CM blade and a triple pinned black micarta handle. It's OK to dream right? :D
