Benchmade Discount Dilemma

How is it for serious use? I have always considered many OTFs to be toys first and knives second. Apparently I have been fairly wrong in that assessment.

Either way 940 is not a particularly “hard use” knife either. It is still very capable for such a light weight package. (And my favourite BM) Would the infidel be up for the same level of work as the 940? (I know they are totally different blade shapes)
It's as strong as most any other folder really. I wouldn't go batoning with it or prying open locked doors, but then I wouldn't do that with any folder.

As long as you keep the tape glue and sand out of it you'll be fine.

Of those three I would get the Infidel.

I already have an EDC locking folder, gentlmans knife , Auto AFO II and bushcraft knife.

That is the reason for my choice. Its super cool and dangerous looking! Plus benchmade makes awesome Autos.

As long as your not afraid to carry it around.
