Benchmade is the company that got me into the hobby, and I am a huge fan of the AXIS lock. Furthermore I have never experienced any of the quality control issues that they seem to have become infamous for. That being said, I have not bought a new Benchmade in some time. Not because of politics, but because my tastes have changed, and because there just haven't been many new models that either peak my interest or fill a need for me. Do I love their political stance? No, but I'm not going to let outrage warrior/cancel culture virtues dictate my behavior, no matter which side it comes from. We all don't need to agree on everything, and being an independent thinker neither side of the spectrum represents my views anyway. I see no need to get rid of knives I love that serve me well over this, and if I have a need for a new knife and a Benchmade seems to fit the bill best I would likely pick it up with only a slight hesitation.
As for Chic-fil-A, I try to avoid them whenever possible. Again, not due to politics, but rather because I am from the South, and I prefer not to support a company that thinks soggy fried chicken is acceptable.
