Benchmade Freek

Good blade shape, horrible handle material...it literally will pull most pockets inside out on draw. To top it off, the black/rubber portion is prone to gouging from simple carry.

That's a shame. I really like the knife. This is a candidate for G10 like what they did with the 940. Maybe a 560-2? lol!

I got a mini and put aftermarket G10 scales on it, it's a sweet little knife. The stock scales felt good in my hand but just made it a PITA to get out of my pocket.

+1 to 560-2. The plastic handle just doesn't do it, it's a unbalanced and too blade heavy, as if it wanna slip outta the hand when using it.

Those Rogue G10 scales look fantastic on both the Freek, and Bugout. You have to think Benchmade is noticing that. Hint, hint.....

I really like that one. I wish BM would consider doing the M4 without the coating or at least a clear coat of some kind. Not a fan of the black or gray. One of the reasons I got rid of my Contego.

I want to like the Freek but I just don't. Not really sure why. I love the blade and the scales feel great so, why don't I care for it?

I have been carrying my Freek for a couple of weeks now and it has really grown on me and I am starting to love the scales. I would likely grab the smaller Freek in G10, CF, etc. if one is released.
