Wondering which folder you guys recommend.
Benchmade griptilian model 550 or SOG pentagon elite(4 inch).

Apples and Oranges.
Griptillian is more of a working knife.
Pentagon --nearly pure-bred stabber.
So what are your intend to use it -- whittling, fighting, ar just impressing girls?:)

I have the BM griptillian and love it. If its for EDC chores such as cutting daily materials then i would go with the Grip because its smaller, it folds and is 440C steel. The Pentagon is meant, as said my pyton357ru, to stab. If you are lookign for a good back up self defense weapon i would go with the Pentagon but if the knife is mainly for daily cutting i would go with the Grip.

The Grip, IMHO, offers easier carry, an ambi lock and lock release, and a beefy ergonomic handle that may be a plus if you (have to) work with gloves.

Griptilian. If you dont mind spending a little more the D2 version from Cabelas is an excellent EDC.

Devil's advocate... Get the Sog, the arc-lock and the axis-lock are so similiar that I have to wonder why there haven't been any lawsuits yet. (or maybe there have and I didn't get the memo)... I've got both, and I actually think that the arc-lock on the sog is smoother, and more confidence-inducing, than the axis, don't get me wrong I love my griptillian. Under ordinary circumstances, I think the Grip makes the better civillian EDC, but for a cop, the half serrated dagger ground blade of the Sog PE will probably prove more useful. Just my .02.

I have both and have to agree that as EDC Grip is much better. PE could be used as a back up or as a toy to impress girls, agree with pyton357ru ;-)
