Why does BM keep makeing all these little gents knives all the time? There are only a couple big heavy users.

I can only speculate.

I think it might be because some laws restrict folding knives to four inches or less. Some international laws are even more strict.

This would limit their distribution channels and, subsequently, their sales numbers.

Else, it could strictly be that there isn't enough demand for large megafolders for BM to warrant making them.

With that in mind, 3.4 inches isn't that small.

Good point about megafolders If you think you need more than 4 inches of blade on a folding knife I think your compensating for something:rolleyes: :D  :p

... happen to know user-friendly Benchmade-dealer who ships overseas?

My used-to-be-regular (Skylandscutlery) doesn't ship overseas anymore :( :(

(Greg was willing to listen "special wishes" and that was a big bonus.)

Yep, I know TAD and PVKnife (they have something) and maybe OsoGrande (haven't ever bought from there) and maybe Cumberlandknives. Any other?

Recommendations wellcome - and thanks in advance!

Interesting, but I don't think I like it as much as the current 690. I'd much rather see Benchmade graft an Axis lock onto that than make an entirely new gents knife.

The buck 110 that's always on my belt is 3.5" from tip to bolster - I'll explain to the next person that freaks out that it's just a little gent's knife. Yup, they'll believe that.

IMEHO (E=Extremely) anything much larger than that probably shouldn't be a folder.

I was going to make some comment about compensation, but another poster beat me to it! :D  :D
