I wish I still had the Kodiak, traded it for the then new AFCK. Agree, it was an outstanding knife. It was also the second Benchmade I bought, after the good ol' Leopard.
Here is a little more info provided to me by Les De Asis.
The model is the Kodiak Skinner model. It was offered in G2 Stainless Steel.
The design of the knife was influenced by Steve Dick of Tactical Knives, and his suggestion was that Benchmade use a
classic skinner shape in a folder.

There were variations in its name. I have one that is labeled "Kodiak Bowie". I' ve seen others labeled "Kodiak Skinner". Last of the great broad bladed bowie designs in a production folder.

BTW, the other of this "trio" is the Brend Combat Talon. Its design has since been revived by Boker.
