Benchmade identification

Ok. Maybe rejuvenate this thread with this one. I inherited this from my dad. Chat GPT says it is an Ascent knife, but I have not seen any like this yet. It has Pat Pend under Mel’s name. I think it’s titanium, but I have not seen any like this with this type of lock. Any experts out there able to tell me what it is?

And there it is. Thanks! I did not see the other side of the blade in the pictures, does it have the Pat pend on all of them or was this an early one?

The few I’ve seen do you have that on the back side

The one I have has the Mel Pardue design logo on the opposite side of the Benchmade. Underneath that is says Pat.Pend. I could not see that side in the pictures on the website you linked to, so just wondering what was on that side normally.
