Benchmade Knife 940 Osborne - AXIS Lock (ST knives)

knife with a lot of problems .Axis lock bolt broken springs , streppid screws (to much loctite) , delicate work for anodized surface of aluminium scales .
work steps ; drilled screws , holes increased , thread in inches converted to metric (Original thread in inches, not found in Romania suitable torx screws) ,modified stainless steel screws heads for a perfect fit , rebuilt lock bolt springs (spring recovered from a electrovalve) .

I am glad I was able to fix it .

Congratulations! It looks like you did a wonderful job of bringing that knife back from the dead. I hate having to do anything to aluminum-scaled knives. I am always afraid that I am going to scratch them. Again, your repair job looks amazing.

Very impressive work. I'm also a HUGE fan of that knife. The lock is perfect, the handle is shaped really nicely, and the blade is reasonably thin. I know a group of guys that all carry the 940 or the 942.
