Hey all,
I have a BM KOTM May 2000 705. It has Alum. handles which had a , for lack of a better word, "sticker" over the Alum. that looked like carbon fiber. I peeled the sticker off, and looking more closely, it only had one omega spring. I sent it to Benchmade and they put 2 springs in and added phosphor bronze washers and a alum? (I guess) split clip to match the alum scales. The pivot is still black as is the spacer. I have carried it a fair amount, and the handles show some wear. It is smooooth and cool. I have never seen one like it, and I have never seen a BM 705 with alum/silver colored handles.
What do you guys think it is worth/ is it worth something to a collector? Just curious. Thanks, Josh

hey i have that knife excpet my "carbon fiber" stickers are still on

I just posted on the benchmade forum a couple days ago and asked to see its worth..... My response was that "brand new" it may fetch $200 but mine as it is used could possibly get $100 i have no idea what ours would get because its been customized.

GarageBoy the blade is ats-34...... if im not mistaken all of the benchmade KOTM knives were ats-34

i have a 710 prototype with black aluminum handles & ya dont see many of them either.

i like it better than the std G10.
