To date, Benchmade is still my favorite (knife) and company. They really back up their products with excellent service.

When you sent them your knives, first and foremost, they reply via email letting you know they got your knives, it is safe, and working. My last sets of knives I sent them for sharpening, I forgot to enclose $5 check...I call them & they say no worry, it's on them this time. Wow! Then when they ship out your knives....UPS notification of estimated ETA. One thing I would suggest is that you give them an address that an adult is there to sign. If you work all day, 5 days a week, and no one is home, don't use that address. Work address works best cause you are there, that is if your boss is okay with you receiving packages.

Kershaw/KAI is my second favorite company in line. They let their action speaks more than words. I send them a few knives, 2 weeks it shows to my door. Scary sharp! And they do serrations too! Kershaw ships direct to your mail box, no need signature so it is okay to give them home address if no one is home. If you need any screws, clips, washers....give them an email...BAM! package show within 10 days. Amazing!

Just praising the awesome job! Well done!:)

+1. My knives went for LifeSharp service and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a confirmation from them.

Kershaw's sharpening service unfortunately blows Benchmade out of the water.

I carried a Blur as my edc for a few years before getting a benchmade and all you had to do was send it in and they will service and sharpen it and send it back for free. Best of all they do serrations.

I can get over the $5 to ship back from Benchmade fair enough, but them not sharpening the serrations is laughable. You buy a combo blade knife from Benchmade (twice the price of Kershaw) yet with their sharpening service they only sharpern 2/3 of the knife!? :banghead:

I don't have many knives with serrations but my edc does as I use it a ton at work to cut straps on pallets, rope, etc.... Didn't know they wouldn't sharpen the whole knife when I bought it guess I got spoiled by Kershaw.
