I just noticed that benchmade uses different materials for some of their liners. They use 410 in the 940 and 420J in the griptillian. I was just curious if anybody knew why this was. Is one better than the other. I just found that interesting.
They are probably about the same. Both are common liner materials. No idea why there is a difference though. Perhaps because one uses aluminum handles and one uses polymer handles. Or maybe there is a difference in thickness that made it easier to purchase in a different alloy. Could me any reason.
