Benchmade Locks

What if any difference is there between the rolling lock and the axis lock other than one is below the pivot and the other is above it? Strength comparison and feel / ease of operation. Are the similar in function / operation or do they work differently from each other?

I like the Axis best, I have a red class Pardue mini-ambush that still locks up when opened, but doesn't stay totally closed (very sloppy). I have cut myself several times just trying to retrieve it from my pocket. Alas, this is just MHO.
