Benchmade Mini-Grip

I'm a recent Spydie convert but I have read a couple threads on the mini-grip and Found an excellent deal on one. The deal is so good I can't possibly pass it up. After seeing one on the internet the deal was sealed. Anything thats bad about these little beauties? If so speak now because I'm sending the money order Monday. After that I need a Spydie Navigator, then I'm absolutely done!!! Ok, I'm lying. thanks for the forum. dtsoll:)
 
The handle materials...great design, but I like G10 more...

That being said, I own a Benchmade 550S and 555. :D

However, if you like Spyderco's handles, you'll love the Griptilians' too!
 
Funny you mention these 2 knives, I have a BM556 plain and a Navigator in vg-10, they have pretty well become the staple of my edc rotation, almost all my other knives are soon going to the chopping block. The BM is the easiest-to-use knife on the planet and the Navigator is just a beauty.

I remember reading a thread that you wrote about Navigators and having a Mini-Grip. I need a navigator but the Mini has got me under her spell at this time. We must have the same taste in knives cause I got some knives that are gonna have to go too, now that I found out about spydies and benchmade. Kinda wish I could have been satisfied with junk if ya know what I mean. Too late now!!!!!!! dtsoll
 
I hear that, I am trying to fight the spyderco bug off myself right now but it's tuff! With the BM's, it's a little easier since the next cheapest knife with an axis is dam near double the money.:eek:
But really, I'm so perfectly content with my $53 bm556 and $30 Navigator that I have put all new knife purchasing on hold until something comes along that thoroughly beats these 2 for the buck. Well, actually, I am looking at the SOG Sculptura......here we go again!! :D
 
Sog Sculptura? Sticky is this something I'll need? I hope to #%&^ not. Knowing my luck I will have to have one. later!!! dtsoll:D :D
 
The SOG looks like a very cool little knife and can be had for under 30$ on ebay, I've heard really good things about 'em. It's kind of a mini mini griptilian and it has a very similar lock called the arclock.
I just found another Spyderco I might have to get on ebay too, the "Mouse" .......there's a dude selling a batch of 24 for $49.95 he just had a dutch auction that i missed where they went for $40!!! :eek:
As you might be able to tell, i'm diggin' small knives lately.:)

I am into the smaller knives myself. I have no need for self defense living in middle Nebraska (I hope). I like carrying without noticing that its clipped on my pocket. Small knives are perfect for my needs 99.9% of the time. later. dtsoll
 
You will LOVE the BM mini-Griptilian. I have a 556S in my pocket right now. It is so superbly designed and manufactured that it is amazing that it sells for about $55. Smooth action, great grip, and good-looking.

Remember that it comes in several colors and make sure that you tell the seller which color you want.

I suppose after I get the funds I will have to, have to I say order one. It was a tough choice between these knives, the navigator and the mini grip that is. I just wanted to give BM a try. later.
