Benchmade mini-griptilian with D2 from cabela's

I have a mini-grip is 154cm and i can tell you I love it! If you would rather have a D2 bladed knife, go with the Cabela's version. The major turning point for me was Cabela's version only comes in a coated blade, which doesn't entice me. However some people like the look of a black coated blade better, all up to you.

Yeah I think the coating is because it's not stainless steel?? but I would
probably prefer non-coated. Not a bad price though and a really cool
knife.
 
I think Cabelas only carries the full size Griptilian. I like my D2 full size version.
 
No Cabelas carries the mini version as well. I dont know if they have them in stock or not, but they carry the mini D2 version. Nice knives... I would definitely recommend one.
 
I've got one of the mini's in D2 from Cabelas. It's a nice little knife and I like D2. D2 is a "Semi-Stainless" steel, It's not going to rust readily even without the coating and is a pretty tough steel. Holds an edge like mad. I've got several other knives in D2 without coating, and none show any sign of rust or discoloration. Grab one, you won't be sorry!
 
The D2 Cabela's is one of my favourite Mini Grips.




You will probably find that yourself wanting the bigger 551 D2 too.
