I'm thinking about getting the Benchmade Mini-Griptillian. Does anyone have any complaints? My current EDC knife is the Spyderco Tenacious. Looking to upgrade and get my first Benchmade. Do your recommend it? Thanks. Just want to make sure its good so I get a good knife.

It's too fat in the pocket. i prefer a knife with a slimmer profile. other than that it's fantastic.

ABSOLUTLY :D i personaly own three of them and have very much enjoyed them! i know that my marine buddy and his troop were issued grips on their last deployment to afghanistan and he sais he loves it! just make sure to drop a drop of blu locktight in the pivot, and your golden (this is something that i recommend because the higher quality knives that are designed to be adjusted tend to loosen up every so often) enjoy my friend its a knife that you can count on!

the mini also has a decently slim profile, i can barly notice it. the mini grip must be one of the most practical edc knives in existance. the little nugget is a freaking bull lol

People like the 556 so much, they are willing to purchase $100+ G10 scales for it. And it's a $60 knife.

I can't justify the Wilkins scales, but I really like the knife. You may want to look at the Bone Collector too.

It would be nice if it had better handle material. You could spring for some Wilkins grips, but they usually cost twice the price of the knife.

They are a great knife. I think my 555hg is the smoothest opening blade I own. Way smoother then my 2 Sebenzas.

Good blade steel also. But the handle could be a little bigger and g10 would be nice

Pros: Very smooth opening and closing, handy blade size and shape for EDC. Very secure pocket clip (bordering on pants-shredding). Available in sheeple-friendly colors. Secure lock.

Cons: Handle shape does not allow for four finger grip, my pinkie is off the end of the handle (and I don't have large hands). Thumbstuds snag on pocket and open the blade as you are pulling the knife out of your pocket.

Another in the same size/price/quality/materials range is the Spyderco Delica 4 with full flat ground blade.

pretty much it comes down to the Delica/Endura or Mini-Grip/Grip as best EDC choices, when talking value/performance/price. The size should be determined by your personal preference(perhaps hand size) and local laws(if you care). IMO the Delica does carry better because it's a bit slimmer, but I prefer the Grip because I very much prefer the Axis lock over lockback.

the closest thing to a complaint I have on the Grip series is that the handles feel a little cheap. this isn't an issue for some people as it justifies the knife being used heavily. Wilkins grips are always an option, but I also have always thought they were too expensive.

It boggles the mind why Benchmade hasn't done a G10 version, but then they don't do a regular production of the AFCK either - the best BM knife there is IMO.

Whatever you do, don't get the sheepsfoot version, go for the spear-point. I have a full size sheepsfoot version, and the lack of a point makes the knife next to useless as an edc, at least for me.

I have a brand new one, never cut anything if you want it for say 20% off retail? I got it in a trade as the dealer lost the box but it has the little bag for it. Its too small for my taste (EDC a ZT0301) but its smooth and sharp. PM me if interested.

I have one, and i like it, but just dont carry it too much...the AXIS lock is very fun to play with while watching tv:D:D

Great knife overall. Light, solid lock, good steel, smooth opening, and comfortable in hand. Only thing I dont like about it is the round profile of the handle and how it feels in pocket. Usually I prefer carrying a Skyline or Persistence for that very reason.

The mini grip is my favorite daily carry knife. Not too expensive so you dont worry about losing it or messing it up, the plastic handles really dont show wear, full liners, and the great axis lock.

I have 4 with 2 more in the works. Its a little fatter and shorter than the Delica, but it carries better in the pocket for me. Its also much easier to close one handed.

Everyone should at least give one a try.

I have ritter mini, delica standard, and ffg delica - as well as endura and ritter grip.

All good for slightly different reasons.

The mini grip is lovely one handed knife. It is slighly thicker in the handle to make for comfortable using than the delica - on the other hand it is smaller in width and possibly lighter without the spider hole. it is also nice to be able use the knife form pocket to pocket one handed and without thought . It has more of a belly than the delica. if it had the flatness of the delica it would be perfect for pocket carry

For all purposes I'd probably go ritter minigrip for small knife and endura for larger - but it depends on purpose. The full size grip doesn't do it for me as the handle is quite large - but very good for those using it a lot

The full flat grind delica cuts magically but I'd be careful with the tip if using it for rosbust purposes

Problem is that they are all good
