Alright, I'm purchasing a new knife for EDC and right now i'm seriously considering the mini griptillian. Does anyone have any knifes they think are superior to the mini grip that are in the same price range ($70)?

What i'm looking for in a knife: it has to be a reasonable size (large knives don't end up in my pocket all the time and are too intimidating to non knife lovers), non serrated, long lasting. Right now I carry a kershaw leek and it's the best EDC i've ever owned.

Yup, mini Bone Collector. D2 steel, G10 handle, full skeletonized liners, possibly a bit higher than $70 but you could find a gently used one in that price range.

You're gonna hear mini grip vs delica 4 all day long. Honestly they are both about equal on quality. The delica has arguably better steel, the mini grip has an arguably better lock. I have both and truthfully prefer the mini grip simply because its more fun to play with. The delica 4 is probably the better cutter though...

Delica 4 is a great blade hard to beat in that range. I love my Benchmades but I find I carry my spydies more often. -hayes

I have both the Delica 4 and the mini-grip and I tend to favor the BM for the ergonomics...both are great knives though.

A full size grip isn't a very large knife... It is very average sized. I'd get a full size grip if I were you, mine is awesome and I can barely notice it in my pocket.

Get what looks most appealing to you.

You're going to be happy with a Delica or Mini Grip either way. Also, check out the sage series, just got the sage 2 and its superb but about 140$. The sage 1 is a tad bit cheaper at about 95$ on amazon, and comes with s30v carbon fiber and a useful 3' blade.

Native --- about equal open length to delica shorty but chunkier, s30v, just as quick to delpoy/close as delica IMO . only downside pinned construction if that matters and older style clip can become wobbly after carry
american lawman reg and mini, voyagers --- triad lock, high spear, ffg and other blade types. aus8 but decent for edc tasks and blades are 3-3.5m thick. not as scary looking as ak47. open/close speed can be tricky with triad stiffness

my personal most common edc rotation is minigrip or sequel front pocket and lockback in back pocket usually a delica or native

There's not a darn thing wrong with your Kershaw Leek. That along with a mini-Griptilian or a Delica 4 would be all you'd need. I have both the mini-Griptilian and the Delica and frankly can't see where either one is better than the other.

I bought a Mini Griptilian specifically with the intent of taking over EDC duties from my Delica. The grip didn't last five minutes before the Delica was back in my pocket and the Griptilian back in the box.

Size, ergonomics, steel, locking system, price. I prefer the Delica 4 in all of these areas over the grip
