Hi,

Are these knives still sold and what are your thoughts and pictures on the knife with a plain non-serrated non- auto version?

Thank You

They are long discontinued but still available on occasion on the secondary market if you look around.

The Full sized Rukus was and is one of my grail knives. Second only to my limited M4 steel AFCK. These two took years to get and I consider myself very fortunate I was lucky enough to have found them. One of Benchmades all time greats IMO.

Nice knives; one should or could be in any fan's collection, plain edge is always preferrred and yes these are hard to fit in our pockets; better a large sheath as a side carry.

All of the standard productions were in s30v. There were two Limited versions, 615-1 and 615-2, that were full G-10 scaled, assisted, w/ 154cm. All out of prduction but still appear from time to time. Someone recently found a NIB satin/plain at a gunshow for around $150. Another I recently heard about was found in a brick and mortar as new/old stock. The closest still in production would be the BM MP5. Push button auto, full aluminum scales in 154cm I believe. Thats the auto axis on top in photo.

One of the greatest production knives of all time in my humble opinion.

What would the full name and model be for the knife on the bottom of this picture and what is the handle & blade length?

Is the M4 steel AFCK a liner lock?

Thanks RamZar. I don't like that small thumbstud in both pictures? I do like the larger handle on the 610.

It looks like the closet available Benchmade is the 810 Contego Satin Plain.

Thanks Icky .. Google search showed a liner lock on the M4 AFCK

The Benchmade 810 Contego is my favorite in the current BM lineup. It simply is an amazing big folder with the superb CPM-M4 (62-64HRC) and valued priced at under $140.

There's no "satin" blade per se since the blade is coated with gray or black Cerakote.

I am just trying to have the best search terms for the best results.

How is Benchmades customer service on knifes that are no longer made?

No questions asked for repairs, they made it they'll fix it. Replacement blades are probably long gone though. Note: the 615 barely fits in pockets, the 610 is a freaking monster - fits the short sword category.

No, The M4 steel AFCK I have is an AXIS lock version.. See pic's below and the model # is 806-901

The AFCK pictured with the Rukus's I posted is the 806-1101 in M390 steel and also an AXIS verson.

BM has put out several limitted runs of the AFCK in various steels and locking mechinisims but I don't recall a M4 steel liner lock though. Doesn't mean they didn't I just don't know of it. Like I said though, the one I have is an AXIS M4 version.

Hope this helps.

So far I'm really liking this one below the 3 kings. Was this Ruckus ever made in a M4 610 plain blade version?

I bought a Benchmade 9051 - 1201 AFO II Limited Edition with M390 blade..
An incredible knife but so close to the MP5, that I won't buy a MP5.
On the other hand, I've got a 610 and a 610SBK, so I still would die for a mini rukus auto.
Neil Blackwoods original designs are just outstanding.
