Hey, guys, is this a sweet knife or what? I just picked up the latest issue of Tactical Knives and saw the ad for this knife. Does anyone know who has these for sale yet? I checked Benchmade's own website, and no word on it yet.
The 722 is ground down the middle and not chisel style, but it's otherwise one of those ninja steak knives, that protect the edge by only having the little secondary point go near the china plate.
And as far as I know they aren't in circulation yet, though it shouldn't take long, since the moving parts are the same as the 720, and the handle is the same as the 720 "knife of the month". Storefront dealers that pay rent for a place where customers can come in and fondle the knives will get theirs before we Internet dealers get ours.
James Mattis,
Since you got to touch these knives at the Blade show. Does the G10 on the 722 make it any lighter than the 720?
From your scans it appears BM thinned the handle overall on the 940 (as compare to say the 720 or 730), is this true? Assume the handle is aluminum? How was the "spine" of the handle created (purple pseudo-filework)From the scans this does appear to be a sweet knife.
