Benchmade MPR owners

I've handled one at KSF. I like it a lot more than I expected to. I'm not usually a fan of BM stuff. That one is a little brawler.

The original clip was terrible. BM did send me a new design, but it's not much better. I ripped up several jeans pockets using it. I tried electrical tape and sandpaper to help it, but could not. It sits in a drawer. My son told me to get rid of it...but of course, it was a gift from him so I won't.
IF IF IF IF BenchMade had used a titanium (carbon fiber, or whatever) scale of about 0.100" INSTEAD of the HUGELY-THICK 0.200" scale of G-10, I think it would have been a good knife...a really good knife. AS IS, it's a waste, IMO.
And they could CHANGE the design at any time to reflect that...but they haven't, AFAIK.
I cannot believe that the MPR is a huge seller in its present design.
Of course, opinions vary, and I respect that others may enjoy it as is...

The hugely thick G-10 and titanium make it more hand-filling, which is why I like it.
It's more comfortable in the hand than in the pocket. :)

...and your opinion reflects why BM hasn't changed the design.
I am glad that you like it "as is." I have plenty of other designs (folders) to pick from. My tastes always run to the thinner handles...less than 1/2" thick, such as CRK Sebbies, Zaan, etc.
I will TRY to stop complaining about this folder...
:)

I smoothed out the G10 underneath the clip. Now it doesn't tear up my pants pockets.
This is a great little folder. Glad I finally got one.

I loved mine but I couldn't stand the tip down pocket clip and for some reason mine would not center the blade no matter what trick I tried.

I still really really really wish they would make a manual 7505. The 757 Vicar is close, but I just love that blade and handle shape.

I still really really really wish they would make a manual 7505.

That would be amazing, I'd buy two.

I was extremely disappointed when I saw the 7505 for the first time, then read that it had a design feature that made it illegal to own in half of the country.
